Old Friends and Photos

Chris and I got to go see some of our former youth this past Saturday. We were taking family pictures for one of their families, The Watson's. We had a lot of fun, especially with little Kait, we hadn't seen her in over 6 months so to see her running around was so much fun. This was an energetic bunch, except, when it was their turn for pictures! The boys, did NOT want to smile, Kait could not sit still long enough for Chris to take a couple shots, oh but it was so much fun! We love these guys and it was so great to get to spend some extra time with them. Below are a few shots that I just love and wanted to share! There are more on our the Photography blog.

Spring Break Camping

Chris and I have really need some time together and some time away from our home and our jobs. We also really wanted to see our family in Arkansas so we got a 2 for 1 deal.

We camped at Brady Mountain @ Lake Ouchita in Arkansas.

We were able to see his adorable little cousins play basketball, it was so much fun to see them play. Then we got to go into town and have lunch with both his sides of the family, can we say FOOD OVERLOAD! Oh but it was good.

We had a really great time and needless to say we did not want to come back home! Oh and George and Grace had a great time too, especially playing in the lake with their frisby's. Can we say more please!!!

Time for some cheering up!

My phone rang early Monday morning on March 9th and I knew something was wrong. My mom doesn't call me from California at 6 in the morning Texas time just to chat. My wonderful and dear Great Aunt Rosie had passed away earlier that morning.

She was more than just a great aunt to say the least and I miss her very much. I was having a very rough day and Chris stayed with me through it all. Later that afternoon he decided it would be best to get me out of the house for a little while and I finally agreed.

Chris took me to Cabela's and we enjoyed a good afternoon together and it helped me to stop the crying (hense the glasses below :( ) at least for a little while.

All that knew her were blessed by her loving, kind and giving spirit. I miss her everyday but I know she is rejoicing in heaven with her husband.

A Fine Day for a Picnic

Ok so I'm a little slow at uploading picutres and blogging. I end up doing it all at once.

Well Chris and I have been enjoying our nice backyard with the dogs and he finally got a Saturday off of work and we decided to have some friends over for a BBQ.

It was a little windy but we played croquet and ate hot dogs and hamburgers. It was so much fun to have little ones around too! I think Chris and I both have a lot to learn before we have kids!

After awhile we went inside and played some games. Oh how I love Apples to Apples! It's so much fun, especially with a good group of friends.

All to say we had a wonderful BBQ Saturday, although it was a couple weeks ago now!! :)

Rules: Once you've been tagged, you are supposed to write a note with 25 random things, facts, habits, or goals about you. At the end, choose 25 people to be tagged. You have to tag the person who tagged you. If I tagged you, it's because I want to know more about you.

1. I was married to my wonderful husband at the ripe old age of 19. (and I wouldn't change it) I can't believe how lucky I am to have found such an amazing man. I've never felt more loved in my entire life than when I met him. :)

Now if I could get Chris to fill this out, YEA RIGHT!

Last few weeks

Well we have had a crazy last few weeks, to say the least. Chris' new job really makes it hard for us to see much of each other so that hasn't been a lot of fun. He works a lot of nights and weekends or he has class and I work M-F 8-5. But he's been playing tennis with me either on my lunch break or right when i get off work before he goes to class, that's been a lot of fun! For Valentines day he got me a new raquet, and chocolate covered strawberrries (my favorite). He did get last Friday off so we played tennis and then went out to eat for our valentines day. We went to one of our favorite resturaunts Edohanda. It's a hibachi resturant and I wish I had taken pictures because our chef was hilarious! We had a lot of fun and ate some really good food. So we are just trying to enjoy the time we have with eachother when possible. I just thought a quick update would be nice. When we can actually do something together I can post more pictures!

Baby Moots

She's finally here! Our friends Kevin and Mandy had their baby on the 15th. We are so happy for them! Little Eliana is the most adorable thing! Chris and I got to go to the hospital to see her. It was great!

SUPRISE! Dinner

When I got home from Work my wonderful husband met me outside all dressed up! I knew something was up already. I walked in and there was this table. Well the picture doesn't give it justice. It was dark and all candle light everywhere through out the house! (I love candles and he knows it) He had mad a wonderful Chicken Cordon Blue! It was yummy! But that wasn't the best part. There was desert and sparkling cider! Now this wasn't just any dessert. He made, FROM SCRATCH, are you ready....White Chocolate Rasberry Cheesecake bars!!!! Oh my goodness they were DELISH!!!! (Kevin and Mandy, I hope you got to enjoy them after Eliana was born) It was a wonderful night. I have an amazing husband!!!!

Golfing in January

Chris and I finally had a Saturday Morning together andwe'd been wanting to go golfing. So we just decided to go to Pecan Valley since it was so close. It was FREEZING! But it was a lot of fun, I bundled up in my sweaters and even brought a blanket! Later on I even put Chris big Jacket on because I was so cold. Chris played pretty well, I stank! I think my hands were frozen! But we had such a good time! I love driving the golf cart. It was just nice to be out of the house with my husband!

New Years

We were very fortunate that Chris got New years day and the day after off. We decided to go to Oklahoma to see my sister Nikki and her husband dave and two kids Kayla and Christian. We always have so much fun when we are with them and even though we were driving through the actual new year we had a lot of fun celebrating the next few days. First we tried bowling with the Wi well I wasn't so good, Chris held is own but the kids and Nikki killed us! So we challenged them to some real bowling. Well you can see the score and know Chris and I (and Dave) did much better than on the Wi.

Our Christmas!

Because of Chris new job he had to work on Christmas. So this was the first year that Chris and I didn't get to go to Hot Springs for Christmas. We decided to try to make some of our own Christmas traditions. We made a gingerbread house! (out of a box, but still) Then we drove around to see Christmas light and went to the Christmas Eve service at our church. Our friends Kevin and Mandy invited me over for Christmas lunch while Chris was working. Later that night Chris mom drove down all the way from Hot Springs to spend Christmas night with us, she brought videos of the Chris family Christmas moring and we ate Ham and opened some presents in a hotel room! It was kinda funny. Then on Friday Chris mom Shirley went and did some day after Christmas shopping before she went home, later that afternoon we had some friends over and had a great time playing games like Apples to Apples, and mafia we just had so much fun. It was good to share time with others who couldn't go to see their families for Christmas either! I guess we are learning it's time to start creating our own family memories!
